Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and legally permitted to use iChat in your country. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us if your account is compromised. One person or organization may not create accounts to evade enforcement.
Communication and content
You keep ownership of content you create. You grant iChat the limited rights needed to host, transmit, format, moderate and display it to your selected audience. Do not upload content you lack the right to share. Private communication is not a license to harm, exploit, threaten or defraud another person.
iShare and points
Each UTC day includes one basic public iShare post and one public reaction free. Later public posts cost 20 points, later reactions cost 1 point, and public content beyond 500 characters costs 2 points per started additional 100-character block, up to 10,000 characters. Personal iShare posts, reactions and comments stay free. The current quote and remaining balance are shown before a charge.
Groups use clearly displayed tiers: Starter supports 20 members and costs 300 points for creation / 120 for renewal; Standard supports 50 members and costs 500 / 200; Pro supports 50 members and costs 900 / 360. Optional poll and relay costs vary by tier and are shown before use. If renewal cannot be paid, a grace period applies before the group becomes read-only.
Point products are consumable digital goods purchased through Google Play. Points may also be earned through eligible referrals. Points are usable only in iChat, have no cash value, and are not a stored-value wallet. The wallet displays server-authored activity history.
Invitations and referral rewards
An invitation link attributes a new account to the inviter; opening the link or installing iChat does not earn a reward. A referral qualifies only after the invited person creates a new account through the link, verifies their email, completes a profile, and keeps an active account in good standing for seven days. The inviter then receives 10 points, up to a lifetime maximum of 1,000 referral points. No review, rating, purchase, public post, like, or dislike is required.
Each new account can have only one inviter. Self-referrals—including accounts associated with the same app installation—duplicate or automated accounts, coordinated abuse, and attempts to evade enforcement do not qualify. We may withhold or reverse rewards tied to fraud, error, chargeback, or policy violations where permitted by law.
Payments
Google Play Billing is used for digital point purchases and posting privileges. iChat does not direct Android users to an external payment method for these digital goods. Payment availability varies by country. Refunds follow applicable law and Google Play’s rules.
Safety and enforcement
You must follow the Community Standards. We may reduce distribution, remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence or contact authorities when reasonably necessary. We provide post, account and received-message reporting, blocking and an appeal path where applicable. A private-message report includes only the specifically reported message snapshot and the reporter’s note, not the surrounding conversation. Serious child-safety reports receive priority.
Service changes and responsibility
Features may change as we improve safety, compatibility and legal compliance. Device-side translation and speech-to-text availability varies by device and language, and automated results can be incomplete; verify important information with the original source. To the extent permitted by law, iChat is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using iChat and request account deletion at any time. We may end access for material or repeated violations. Provisions concerning ownership, valid transactions, safety investigations, disputes and legally required retention survive account closure.
Law and mandatory rights
These terms apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in them excludes privacy, consumer or other rights that cannot legally be waived. Because iChat is offered internationally, local rules may limit or prohibit specific features; you are responsible for using the service lawfully where you live.
